Performance: Cushioning: - Cushioning indicates how well a midsole absorbs shock. More cushioning reduces stress on joints and muscles and increases comfort. Less cushioning allows for more direct contact with the ground, and therefore faster and more accurate reactions. Grip: - Shoes with good grip do not slip, even in wet conditions. They offer grip, adhesion and traction on different surfaces. The grip is influenced by the rubber blend, sole structure and tread depth - on firm trails a low profile tread is suitable, on mixed or challenging terrain you are best advised to go for a deep sole tread. Protection: - To protect your feet from rough rocks, roots or boulders, our shoes are equipped with special protective elements on the toes, heel or sides. In demanding terrain with boulders or on long hikes with heavy loads, more protection is advisable.
