The high-volume 2.4´´ design promises trail tire comfort more robust and the same ability to run at lower air pressures, but with a tread and carcass configuration that aims for maximum rolling efficiency.

Optimus XC has a 120 tpi tubeless single-ply casing for maximum flexibility and reliable air retention.

The casing of the Optimus Trail is a single-ply 72 tpi tubeless casing, but takes advantage of a nylon breaker under the tread for greater puncture protection and a more supportive feel on rougher terrain.

The Optimus tread pattern was designed with shorter, more closely spaced center lugs, which create a more efficient rolling contact patch across the center tread.

This also improves acceleration and climb properties.

The grooves in the central knobs alternate between parallel and perpendicular lines to improve both braking and traction when cornering.

Wider spaced transition lugs help control traction consistency and predictability when transferring through lean angles while effectively self-cleaning.

The sidewall lugs are designed with a sophisticated profile to dig into looser terrain during aggressive cornering and engage on corner exits.

Horizontal top sipes and arched cuts with accordion side sipes help improve flexibility on uneven terrain, while controlling sidewall lug deformation and rollover at high lean angles.
